My biggest influence in my design would be my late uncle. He raced motorcycles all over Europe which allowed him to gather a collection of random items. These items would usually be less remarkable items like a rubber duck he got in Italy or a fork he stole from a restaurant. The beauty in random items that stroke up memories is something I like to evoke in my art. Tennis balls, receipts, barcodes are all random, maybe less eye-catching things that I have been able to use in designs whether that be through their color or repurposing them.
My uncle never was too interested in design or art. He used to wear the same black shirt every day. Current culture has caused people to keep their shirts for no longer than a month. Things we buy are made to be kept not used. One way to combat this is through design. I've worn my favorite hoodie around 1000 times since I first got in 9th grade not because of how expensive it is but because of the sick logo on it.
